Sam Mayes’ Bedlam memories: Dominating Tommie Harris, seeing Mangino get sucker punched
Bedlam week is always big for Sam Mayes, but this one was like no other for the former Oklahoma State offensive lineman. He spent four days in the hospital. When he found out he was being discharged Thursday, though, he wanted to do a podcast. I was more than happy to oblige. Sam provided an update on what happened and how he’s feeling, then shared all sorts of great Bedlam memories. After OSU beat OU in 2001, Sam said the party in Stillwater when the team returned from Norman was unlike anything he’s ever experienced. And the domination of the Sooners in 2002? Sam knew after the first two plays that the Cowboys could win by 50. He talks about all that and more on a special edition of The Jenni Carlson Show.
