The biggest development in Oklahoma’s offseason rebuild on the offensive line may have arrived Monday afternoon when Washington guard Geirean Hatchett committed to the Sooners out of the transfer portal.

Hatchett arrives in Norman as a fifth-year junior with two seasons of remaining eligibility and represents OU’s fourth transfer addition on the offensive line as the Sooners prepare to replace starters at all five positions up front. But while questions hover over fellow offensive line newcomers Spencer Brown, Febechi Nwaiwu and Michael Taruqin, Hatchett steps in as a likely instant impact starter at right guard.

Tune in as Sellout Crowd’s Oklahoma beat writer Eli Lederman and former Oklahoma State All-American Sam Mayes dive into the significance of Hatchett’s arrival, his strengths and weaknesses and his fit on the retooled offensive line the Sooners will take with them into the SEC in 2024.
